Discover Downtown: Museum of the Southern Jewish Experience
The Museum of the Southern Jewish Experience, located at 818 Howard Ave., is housed in a historic building in the heart of the Warehouse District that has been converted from a former law firm into luxury apartments, office space, and the museum now occupying the bottom two floors of the building. The Museum explores many ways that Jews in American South influenced and were influenced by the distinct cultural heritage of their new homes.

Discover Downtown: Hertz Investment Group
After more than a year of remote working, Greater New Orleanians are returning to their Downtown offices. Many will return to offices owned by Hertz Investment Group, the largest owner of Class A office space in New Orleans. Hertz Investment Group was founded by Judah Hertz with only $1,000 and the uncanny ability and business acumen to discern undervalued assets. He built the company into a national real estate investment firm with more than 20 million square feet of office space. Hertz Investment Group entered the New Orleans office market beginning in 2002 with the acquisitions of 400 Poydras Tower, Poydras Center, and First Bank & Trust Tower.

Discover Downtown: The Contemporary Arts Center
The Contemporary Arts Center of New Orleans is a popular attraction in Downtown NOLA with multi-disciplinary programing presented year-round, including world-class visual arts exhibitions, cutting edge performing arts shows, and unique education programs. Louisiana residents can enjoy free admission to the CAC on Sundays and children and students under grade 12 can enter for free at any time thanks to The Helis Foundation. Discover Downtown: Prytania Theatres at Canal Place
The Prytania Theatres, New Orleans’ oldest operating theatre, has expanded to a second location in Downtown NOLA on historic Canal Street! Check out their new, nine screen, state-of-the-art digital cinema located on the third floor of Canal Place. The theatre includes a lively piano bar: 24 Frames, featuring happy hour every day from 3:00pm – 6:00pm and musician Phil Melancon performing on their baby grand piano every Tuesday and Saturday from 4:00pm – 6:00pm. Enjoy New Orleans Classics & Show Tunes in Phil’s iconic New Orleans style. The theatre also features a coffee bar.

Discover Downtown: The Sazerac House
In 2019, The Sazerac House put two major buildings back into commerce that had sat vacant for decades. At the intersection of Canal and Magazine Streets, this location was primed for a major project. The Sazerac House, which is a short stroll from the original 1850s era Sazerac Coffee house features a museum which explores the history of New Orleans spirits, including the namesake Sazerac Cocktail, as well as the creation of Peychaud bitters and Southern Comfort, and the rum trade dating back to the founding of our Country. Patrons can experience the bottling and brewing process as well as sample products produced right here in Downtown NOLA.
