DOWNTOWN PLACEMAKING SURVEY OPEN UNTIL JUNE 25TH

Last week Downtown stakeholders ranging from property owners and residents to workers and building managers attended public engagement meetings to solicit ideas about creative placemaking projects that could enhance the visual appearance of the DDD.

The meetings were led by the Downtown Development District under the direction of local landscape and engineering and design firm SCAPE.

Downtown Development Unlimited (DDU), the charitable arm of the Downtown Development District, was the recipient of Wisner Trust grant funds. Some of these funds will be used for creative placemaking, and the DDD wants to know what would be most meaningful to the people who live, work, and play Downtown.

Some of the examples presented include lighting, public art, and more. If you missed the meetings, you can see the presentation HERE.

There is still time to provide feedback via a virtual survey HERE. The survey will be open until Sunday, June 25th.
