Upscale denim retailer True Religion has opened their first store in Louisiana on historic Canal Street in Downtown New Orleans. The store is located at the corner of Canal and Bourbon Streets in the Astor Crowne Plaza.
The grand opening celebration took place on Friday, June 10 with a live performance by Trombone Shorty. In attendance was New Orleans Saints Wide Receiver Brandon Coleman, actor Omar Dorsey (Django Unchained) and actor Timon Kyle Durrett (Barbershop: The Next Cut). Also in attendance were councilmembers Nadine Ramsey and LaToya Cantrell.
