The Downtown Development District would like to congratulate

The Wild Life Reserve as the winner of the 3rd Annual Downtown NOLA Arts-Based Business Pitch, which was featured on Creative Industries Day presented by the DDD, Creative Alliance of New Orleans and the Louisiana Cultural Economy Foundation during New Orleans Entrepreneur Week.

“Once again we had another great contest with an incredibly gifted pool of finalists,” said President & CEO Kurt Weigle. “I would like to commend all the participants and wish all of them much success as they continue to grow and develop their businesses.”

“We would like to say thank you to the DDD for the nomination and the award,” said Tabitha Bethune, The Wild Life Reserve. “We are so thankful for the opportunity to win the Downtown NOLA Arts-Based Business Pitch. We are a Fashion & Brand Incubator; we work with Creatives from all over the world, helping to brand, launch and start their own businesses. We are proud to be creating jobs and building brands from our Downtown New Orleans location.”

The Day consisted of two forums aimed at engaging industry leaders and emerging creative artists and producers in a dialogue on growing the profile of the creative industries. The day culminated with the 3rd Annual Arts-Based Business Pitch which is aimed at identifying and supporting entrepreneurs that have an arts-based project or product situated in the creative, architecture, technology, digital media or film and entertainment fields that benefits Downtown and is sustainable.

The DDD, along with other downtown partners, awarded a prize package of seed capital and pro bono legal, accounting, PR, and real estate services valued at over $25,000, to the winner.
