Small Business Week Spotlight: Bulls & Bears Parlor

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, small businesses grew to 7,936,977 from 2018 to 2019. During National Small Business Week, the Downtown Development District would like to spotlight the Bulls & Bears Parlor, which opened in 2017, in honor of this growth.

In the heart of the CBD, owner Abby Granier and her friendly staff invite you to their luxury, speak-easy barbershop. This upscale parlor not only gives stylish men’s haircuts but also offers beard maintenance, facials, and other grooming services.

As you walk in to enjoy the local shop’s welcoming neighborhood vibe, expect to be greeted by their fluffiest staff member, Rex. While Rex doesnt have any openings on his books, hes sure to accompany you during your time at the parlor and gladly accepts payment in the form of head scratches!

As much as a friendly dog will make you feel at home, so will the rest of their staff. In fact, they are proud to say that you’re a welcomed guest during your first cut, and by your second cut, youre family. Their self-proclaimed purpose is to bring the world to a prettier place, one head at a time.”

The Bulls & Bears Parlor is more than a barbershop; it is where the local community can come together and enjoy Downtown living. Sip on a savory glass of scotch while being pampered in their modern-deco studio, challenge barber Andrew to a game of cornhole, or check out Rexs newest Saints vest. Proud of their downtown home, the parlor has also begun implementing beautification projects around the exterior of its building, such as re-mulching its trees and planting flower beds outside of their Baronne St. entrance.

Located at 625 Baronne St., the Bulls & Bears Parlor is open Monday – Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm or by appointment. If youre hosting a special event and would like to have a barber attend, call them at (504) 533-9982. They‘ll be happy to work with you to ensure youre looking your best for whatever occasion youre celebrating and prove why they believe theyre the best barbershop in the city.
