The DDD Honors the Legacy of Downtown New Orleans Investor and Partner Judah Hertz
Hertz Investment Group opened Connect Hub Coworking at 400 Poydras Tower in March 2021
After more than a year of remote working, Greater New Orleanians are returning to their Downtown offices. Many will return to offices owned by Hertz Investment Group, the largest owner of Class A office space in New Orleans.
Hertz Investment Group was founded by Judah Hertz with only $1,000 and the uncanny ability and business acumen to discern undervalued assets. He built the company into a national real estate investment firm with more than 20 million square feet of office space.
Hertz Investment Group entered the New Orleans office market beginning in 2002 with the acquisitions of 400 Poydras Tower, Poydras Center, and First Bank & Trust Tower. When New Orleans was still under floodwater from Hurricane Katrina, Judah Hertz famously told the Wall Street Journal in September 2005, “I am very, very bullish on New Orleans.” His unwavering confidence in the city was reassurance that New Orleans would bounce back. Hertz later acquired Energy Centre and Hancock Whitney Center.

True to Judah’s entrepreneurial spirit, Hertz Investment Group expanded its real estate offerings in response to the COVID-19 pandemic by opening Connect Hub Coworking at 400 Poydras Tower. Hertz Investment Group now offers office suites ranging from 100 sq ft to 100,000 sq ft and provides unmatched flexibility in the market for tenants with rapidly changing space requirements.

In February, he passed away following a short battle with ALS.
