DDD WELCOMES NEW CFO

The Downtown Development District is proud to announce that Bianka Brown has been named the organization’s new Chief Financial Officer.

Brown brings over 15 years of finance and operations experience developing and driving strategic goals focused on financial reporting and system implementation.  She has a record of developing innovative solutions, cultivating motivated teams to increase efficiency, implementing internal controls, and raising performance for private, public, and non-profit organizations.

Prior to joining the DDD, Brown served as the VP of Finance and Administration for the Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA), where she managed the agency’s accounting and financial reporting, including financial and compliance audits, as well as financial budgets and policies along with the administration and procurement functions.

She served as COO for Finance New Orleans, providing leadership and strategic direction around diversity, equity, and inclusion to execute the shared vision of comprehensive community development, quality affordable housing, and economic growth within the City of New Orleans.

Brown brings a wealth of experience through her earlier successes with The Housing Authority of Jefferson Parish, New Orleans Redevelopment Authority, Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, First NBC Bank, and JP Morgan Chase, where she helped organizations streamline financial policies and standard operating procedures while creating and monitoring accountability systems.

A native New Orleanian, Brown is excited to be back home.  In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and visiting Plum Street Snoballs, where her favorite flavor is cream ice cream.
