Currently, a survey is being conducted on behalf of the DDD, City of New Orleans, Regional Planning Commission, Port of New Orleans and RTA. It is designed to measure the potential support for a transportation demand management program that would encourage use of alternative commuter modes (transit, carpooling, etc.).
A transportation demand management (TDM) program has the potential to reduce congestion, improve air quality and reduce vehicle emissions.
