Tuesday, the DDD met with international leaders from 16 countries, including South Africa, India and Lebanon, who all work in the tourism and economic development fields. DDD President & CEO Kurt Weigle along with other members of the staff shared with them the DDD’s mission and efforts in increasing economic development and building public-private partnerships to benefit Downtown New Orleans. The meeting was organized by the New Orleans Citizen Diplomacy Council, a nonprofit that partners with the U.S. Department of State to arrange professional and cultural programming for current and emerging international leaders.
