SAFETY & TRANSIT TIPS FOR SWIFTIES

Calling all Swifties! Stay “Safe & Sound” this weekend with these safety and transit tips from the City of New Orleans and DDD.

Firstly, stay mindful of changes to transit schedules. New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (RTA) routes may experience delays or temporary detours during Swift’s concerts; please remain updated on all service alerts, delays, and detours on RTA’s Le Pass App.

Secondly, be in the know on road closures and changes to traffic patterns. From October 25-27th, temporary street closures will take place in the French Quarter, as is customary for major events. These closures will be based on pedestrian flow but will likely begin around 6:00 PM. Additional closures may potentially impact traffic flow on Poydras Street, Canal Street, and Loyola Avenue.

Lastly, learn about DDD’s Public Safety programs to ensure your continued security throughout your stay in Downtown New Orleans. DDD Rangers are happy to provide you with any information you need while on the streets or assist you from Point A to Point B via our SafeWalk program—a free service provided to safely escort residents, workers, and visitors to their Downtown destination.

If you’re ever Downtown and need a SafeWalk or non-emergency assistance, please reach out to our Rangers at 504-415-1730.

We wish you all a safe, happy, and enchanting Eras weekend!
