Details on construction and infrastructure projects can be found at nolastreets.info
New Orleans, LA – Greater New Orleans, Inc. is excited to announce the launch of nolastreets.info, a new website to keep residents informed about major road closures and infrastructure updates within the New Orleans “Entertainment District” as part of preparations for Super Bowl LIX in February 2025. The goal is to provide a quick and easy way for residents to see which roads are currently closed or partially closed at any given time.
“This new resource ensures that residents are well-informed about ongoing construction projects and their impact on daily commutes,” said Michael Hecht, President and CEO of Greater New Orleans, Inc. and State Coordinator for Infrastructure and Economic Development for the Super Bowl. “Dozens of agencies have come together to improve our infrastructure for the Super Bowl and beyond, and we want to minimize the inconvenience caused by this important work.”
Numerous agencies at the state and city level are involved in hundreds of “Summer of Super Bowl” projects that range from sidewalk repair, to street paving, to light installation, to drainage repair, including:
- The Department of Public Works
- The Louisiana Department of Transportation & Development
- Sewerage & Water Board
- The Department of Parks & Parkways
- The City of New Orleans
- Downtown Development District
- The Department of Sanitation
- The French Quarter Management District
Key features of nolastreets.info include detailed information on areas impacted by construction, estimated completion dates for each project, identification of agency owners responsible for the projects, and an interactive map showing the locations of construction zones.
