The New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (RTA) announced that the Rampart Streetcar Line will resume service on Sunday, May 19th, after being closed for more than five years after the Hard Rock collapse.
RTA CEO Lona Edwards noted, “This reopening is part of the summer 2024 transit schedule changes and is a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to serving the transit needs of the New Orleans community.” The line’s return was announced alongside the release of the summer public transit schedule, which also begins May 19th.
