Wanting to see New Orleans rebuild after Katrina, Donald and Tina Welty took a chance on a CBD restaurant. Both having years of restaurant experience, the Weltys bring a local style with professional service to their customers.
Tina’s family owned a number of restaurants in the City of New Orleans, including Commanders Palace before the Brennan family. Donald is a well known chef around the local restaurant scene. He has worked at Henri, Mr. B’s, Bacco, Versailles Restaurant, Windsor Court and Tujaques Restaurant.
Welty’s Deli represents a lifelong dream for the couple, providing a location where they can cook local fresh food for the everyday working person, have fun doing it and still have time for family and friends.
