Julia St.
Concrete will be placed on the south (left) side of the Julia St. roadway between Commerce and Magazine streets beginning Monday morning at about 4 a.m. Traffic will be shifted to far right (north) lane during the pour and no parking will be allowed on the roadway during the placement which should be over by Noon. Removal and replacement of the sidewalks on the south (left) side of Julia St. between Carondelet and Baronne St. continues through next week. A second crew is removing and replacing sidewalks on the south (left) side of Julia St. between Commerce and Magazine St. through next week. A concrete placement is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 5.
Sewerage and Water Board Water Line Replacement Work
The Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans will begin removal and replacement of the waterline in the 500 block of Julia St. from Magazine to Camp streets and the 800-900 blocks of Magazine St. from Julia St. to Andrew Higgins Dr. beginning Nov. 11. A public meeting to discuss the details of the SWB project is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 4 at 6 p.m. at the Sewerage and Water Board office located at 625 St. Joseph St. Meeting attendees may access the free parking lot from the entrance on Camp St.
