Create Louisiana, a partnership between Deep South Studios, the New Orleans Film Society, and the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities, was created to champion filmmaking talent in Louisiana and celebrate the diverse cultures of the state. This year, Create Louisiana has partnered with TV5MONDE USA, America’s only 24/7 French language entertainment channel, to offer a grant to a Louisiana-based filmmaker. The $32,500 grant will be given to a short-form scripted story or long-form documentary that will incorporate elements of French culture and history in Louisiana.
