M·A·C COMES TO CANAL STREET

M·A·C , the world’s leading professional makeup authority has opened on historic Canal Street. Joining its neighbor, upscale denim retailer True Religion which opened its first store in Louisiana last summer, the stores are located at the corner of Canal and Bourbon Streets in the Astor Crowne Plaza.

“The arrival of MAC Cosmetics is the latest sign of Canal Street’s tremendous progress, made possible by close collaboration between property owners and brokers – Starwood Capital and Terremark Partners in the case of MAC — and the Downtown Development District and other partners,” said DDD President & CEO Kurt Weigle. “We have a team that knows the potential of Downtown New Orleans retail, has bought into a common vision, and works tirelessly to achieve it.  The same goes for our residential, hospitality, and business development strategies. With all four running in high gear, Downtown is being transformed before our eyes.”
