Downtown New Orleans is embarking on the development of a wayfinding system that will replace the existing outdated program. The new system will help people find their way and encourage visitors to discover our attractions and community assets. The Downtown Development District has hired MERJE to develop the system. MERJE is a nationally recognized design firm with specific expertise in Community Wayfinding, they have worked with more than 80 communities of all sizes and aspirations in the development of similar Downtown programs.
The DDD will be hosting an open house Tuesday, May 15 at 5:00pm at The National WWII Museum’s Stage Door Canteen to introduce the project to the local community, receive information and provide input as we begin this design process.
